Kelly Agnew is a Master of Analytics candidate in McGill’s Desautels faculty. Kelly is currently working on the AI-driven peer-to-peer matching project “Oncobuddy” which received Oncopole funding in 2019. The goals of this project are i) The development of peer-support services for cancer patients using a stakeholder co-design approach, ensuring maximum efficacy. ii) The deployment of a machine learning algorithm to learn from self-reported patient preference data and recommend suitable matches between patient Mentors and Mentees. iii) The development of an interactive web application to allow OHIG researchers to test the predictive ML model.
