Both came away with great ideas for using microfluidics to build the microbeam that will form James' PhD project. Thanks to the Jucker lab for this great opportunity! Oh, and James was on the winning design challenge team!

Ridhi will work on design and development of the OncoBuddy and OncoConseil peer support functionality in the Opal patient portal.

James’ fellowship will support his PhD studies and Nicolas’ will support his MSc studies. Both are students undertaking their research projects as part of the Kildea lab’s NICE research program.

John shared his perspective for a patient-centered healthcare system in which patients, clinicians, researchers and industry partners work together for true real-world data sharing.

The panel discussion focused on “The Role of Data for Better Health Outcomes”. Novartis Canada is a partner in the Quebec SmartCare Consortium in which John Kildea is the principal investigator.

Nicolas will work on studying post-radiation DNA repair using the TOPAS-nBio track structure framework.

The publication describes the work of James’ MSc project. It is entitled “A study of indirect action’s impact on simulated neutron-induced DNA damage”.

Hossein’s thesis is entitled “The use of radiomics and natural language processing to detect pain in the simulation-CT images of patients undergoing radiotherapy for bone metastasis”. Hossein is the second PhD student to graduate from the Kildea lab.
