Presentation at the UN General Assembly Digital Health Symposium, held in New York.

I am just back from the inspiring UN General Assembly Digital Health Symposium, held in New York over the last two days.

I presented in the session on open-source digital health tools where I highlighted the link between Opal and OpenEMR. When I demonstrated how patients can use the International Patient Summary in Opal to share their health data the excitement in the room was palpable!

There is a revolution coming to healthcare. The IPS and open-source software and standards will be at the heart of it. Why? Because it will be driven by patients and not governments or hospitals or big vendors… Watch this space!

Thank you to Martin Curley for the invitation.
