👏 ⚜️ Last Thursday (November 13, 2025), the Opal team was well represented at the Colloque Informatique Santé in Quebec.

Thanks to Le Point en Santé | Éducation for providing us with a stand in the Innovation Zone. Stacey Beard and Matthias Schoettle were there and provided lived demonstrations of Opal, OpenEMR and the International Patient Summary.

Susie Judd and John Kildea shared Opal’s 6.5 year experience as the first, and as yet only, patient portal to have operated in a Quebec hospital. There was so much interest and discussion that the session went 30 minutes over time! ⏱️🔥

John Kildea participated in a lively discussion with representatives of the Ministère de la santé et des services sociaux and Santé Québec in a panel organized by Roche. The subject of how to realize the full value of Quebec health data and not just protect them was the topic of discussion.
