Pratyush is a MITACS Globalink Research Intern 2023 under the supervision of Dr. John Kildea at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre and an undergraduate student of Bachelor of Technology (Engineering Physics) at the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee in India. He is an avid learner with a deep interest in nuclear physics. As a MITACS intern, he is working on modeling the track etch detector – CR-39 using TOPAS. Track etch detectors are used for the detection of high-energy neutrons. In his project, he will also explore how a track etch detector can detect thermal neutrons.
