Ningyuan (Leo) Li

MSc Student

Leo is a second-year Master’s student in the Medical Physics programme in Kildea’s lab. Currently, he is working on developing health informatic systems in oncology, with a focus on using deep learning and large language models to analyse and generate clinical notes.

Previously, he studied at McGill University and graduated with a joint degree in physics and computer science, minor in mathematics. He worked on the mathematical description of causality in machine learning, as well as signal processing in radioastronomy. His Master’s project is a manifestation of his interest in the cross-section between physics and computer science.
