Alton Russell is a decision scientist who uses data-driven modeling to inform the efficient and effective use of finite healthcare resources. He employs decision-analytic modeling, simulation, optimization, and data analytics to improve health policy and clinical decision-making. His research has contributed to decisions in blood banking and transfusion medicine, reducing harms from opioid use disorder, and other clinical areas.
